Cyclists are not protected by the police in court when they are involved in an accident with a car or truck
Unfortunately, too often, cyclists die and are seriously injured when they are involved in a fatal or near-fatal accident with a car or truck. We always hear the excuse of the driver that he did not see the cyclist. The police accept this excuse too readily. What then happens is there is no prosecution when there should be and insurance companies usually use the incorrect police report as a basis to deny our clients' injury claims.
